Construction Skills Day Helps Students Build New Expertise
During Week 6, a select group of Year 10 students participated in a Construction Skills Day, designed to prepare them for their Construction Pathways Certificate I and II course, which they will commence in Year 11.
Students were introduced to the competency-based training skills essential for successfully completing the course. As part of the day's activities, they built and painted two seating benches, which will be a wonderful addition to the school garden.
They also developed design plans for a garden workbench and began measuring and marking timber to bring the project to life.
This hands-on experience not only enhanced their construction skills but also gave them a head start on their learning journey.
