On Thursday 31st August, the DHSVAD Senior Boys and Girls AFL teams made their way to Leichhardt Oval to participate in the Bligh AFL Gala Day against their fellow Inner West rivals Tempe High School, Marrickville High School, Leichhardt Sydney Secondary College and Blackwattle Bay Sydney Secondary College.

Both teams put in a valiant effort, playing back-to-back games (with no subs) against some tough competition. Despite this, both teams put in an amazing effort, supporting each other and displaying outstanding sportsmanship. A special mention to the girls’ team, who secured themselves 3rd place, beating Tempe and Leichhardt for the bronze position – amazing work, Dully! 

The teams consisted of Madelyn A, Lauren B, Angelina H, Alexandra H, Orla J, Vicky N, Luciana P, Rosa W, Rafael P, Jack M, Gabe L, Luke K, Peter E, Niran H and Max A.
