Year 10 decide on their Year 11 subjects and join in on many fun school events

Ms Bojkovska, Year 10 Advisor —

Term 3 has been a busy term for Year 10 students. They have been making some big decisions about their future by selecting their subjects for Year 11. It is an excellent time to be having some important conversations at home about what your child would like to pursue post-school.

Over the term, Year 10 has once again excelled in representing the school across different events. The annual Winter Gala saw a number of students showcase their talents in Music, Dance and Drama which they were recognised for in the Senior Assembly and Year Meeting.

Several Year 10 students have also been volunteering to support younger Year 7 and Year 8 students at their annual Gala Days, excelling in their respective coaching roles.

Academically, a number of Year 10 students participated in the Big Science competition, achieving excellent results. Particular recognition must be given to Brendan, Ruby, Anna and Zoe for achieving Distinctions and High Distinctions.

Finally, Term 3 saw the celebration of Wear it Purple Day , with a number of students getting involved in stalls and even the runway catwalk. A big shout out must be made to our resident DJ Riana who kept the vibe going during the celebration.

As we gear up for the final term of Year 10, I encourage all students to persevere on this homestretch of their junior schooling. Year 10 students will have an exam period in Week 4 of Term 4 and should be looking at developing a study schedule.

A quick reminder that students can always access the Homework Club on a Wednesday afternoon to support them with assessments and coursework – take advantage of this free service!

Best wishes for the holiday period.
