How to get in touch with our school counsellors

Ms Owen and Mr Reid, School Counsellors —

Our wonderful school counsellors Katherine Owen and Jeff Reid continue to support student needs and provide recommendations this year.

Katherine Owen is available at school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and Jeff Reid can be contacted on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (Week A).

The school counselling service is confidential unless there are safety concerns - this is explained to all students accessing the service. The office is in D block (DR1006) next to the HSIE staffroom.

This year self referrals will be moving to an online version as well as paper (more information to come). In the meantime, students can make a self-referral to see the counsellor by completing a self-referral form and slipping it under the counsellor’s door.

Referrals can also be made by a Deputy Principal, HT Wellbeing, Year Advisers or the SSO ( students can also contact these people and ask for a referral). If you have been referred to the school counsellor, you may be called out of class with a note delivered to your classroom.
