Gina Dracopoulos was a force of nature. She was kind, thoughtful, smart and a passionate advocate for excellence in public education.

It is very hard to write about Ms Drac in the past tense because her presence is still so present in all that happens at Dully. And this is particularly true of her involvement in and tireless work with the P&C.

When we came on board as the new presidents of the P&C this year, Gina was the first person to check in to see if we needed anything or if she could provide support, answer questions etc. At meetings, she engaged so beautifully with new parents, making them feel welcome and making sure she knew who their child was in the school.

You could see her genuine and authentic commitment to knowing her community. She was miraculous in that way – she made everyone feel seen and special.

Her contributions to Dully are endless and her impact on the community profound. The P&C will continue to build on and honour all that Gina started and will ensure her legacy continues for many years to come.

We are heartbroken and extend our love and sympathy to her family.
