Raise Mentoring - Supporting our Students

Stephanie, Student Support Officer —

Congratulations to the Year 9 students that graduated from the Raise Mentoring program this term.

Students were matched with trained volunteer mentors and met once a week for 22 weeks. In that time, the students who have participated in this mentoring program have re-engaged in education, developed more self-confidence, greater resilience, better communication skills and are more likely to seek help and make positive choices.

Participating students said “being part of the program helped me branch out, it was a great experience.”

“Raise helped me with my social anxiety and improved my confidence.”

The Wellbeing team are looking forward to continuing to offer Raise Mentoring to yr 9 students next year.
