Principal's Report: All the best for our Year 12 students!

Ms Dracopoulos, Principal (R.) —

As we arrive at the end of term 3, I would like to wish Year 12 the best for their forthcoming exams.

I also want to acknowledge all the hard work that the staff have put into preparing students for their HSC. Our staff have a deep commitment to supporting all students to achieve their best and work with students right up to the end of term including the holidays and many weekends. I want to also acknowledge the students who have applied themselves with diligence to their studies and continue to push forward despite feeling exhausted at this stage of the year.

The HSC is a challenging course. Our ongoing expectations for students are high and we hope that they work hard to make the most of the opportunities provided to them and strive for their personal best.

Supporting the wellbeing of our Year 12 students this year and in particular, this term, has been important to allow them to focus on their studies and maintain connection with their peers and the school. I must also recognise the care and concern of several staff members including Mr Quaglia and Mr O’Neill, who are more than willing to make this a memorable and positive journey for students.

I have personally enjoyed the many celebrations this term with Year 12. Specifically, the fast-paced games of Netball and Soccer where my fitness is always tested!

Mr Quaglia, their hero, has been more than amazing. He has gone to great lengths to keep the Year 12 cohort cheerful and feel valued. He is an inspiration to all of us and I hope students can bottle his positivity and energy and make great contributions to others one day in the future.

There is more to say about this cohort, but we still have some events to celebrate their successes, and so I‘ll leave it for now.

Year 12, we will miss you dearly.
