Our Year 8 Advisor, Ms Georgopoulos reflects on Term 3

Ms Georgopoulos, Year 8 Advisor —

As we fast approach the end of Term 3 there is so much to reflect upon.

We have had some fun and engaging initiatives run by our well-being team this term such as a Wear it Purple Day and RU Ok day. As well as other amazing activities namely the Winter Gala which showcased the creative arts in our school community we had many students in Year 8 participate. Throughout the term there are also our extra curriculum activities whether it be after school basketball to music and dance ensembles for our students to get involved in as well.

It is also at this time of the year students in Year 8 may be feeling the pressure of assessment tasks being due. Please remember that you can always access support from me your Year Advisor if you are struggling with your studies. I can provide referrals to the right people who can support you. I can offer learning support and if need be explain what the procedures are for getting an extension.

The thing you need to do which is sometimes the hardest part is ask for help before it feels too much and you get too overwhelmed. Remember parents can contact me via the school email or they can call the school and request for me to call and have a chat.

Students in Year 8 you can always come and find me at DR008 at recess/lunch.
