Heads up! School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship Students get a Head Start
The School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship (SBAT) program is a pathway to completing the HSC, that is known to few people, but represents a fantastic opportunity for students to finish Year 12 whilst also receiving industry recognised training and paid work.
SBATs require a contract between students, parents, school and an employer who commits to provide employment and training through Years 11 and 12, and are generally organised in Term 4 of Year 10. More information on SBATs can be found online or through the school’s Careers Adviser.
