A Busy Term for P&C Friends of Art
This term the P&C hosted two of our most popular events - Inside Art Express and Life Drawing.
Inside Art Express
On Wednesday March 26, more than 50 parents, carers and students attended a presentation on this year's HSC Art Express at the Art Gallery of NSW.
The exhibition showcases the best of HSC visual art major projects from 2024.
DHSVAD student Oscar Hartley talked us through how he created his beautiful and innovative landscape combined with tech.
Curator Louise Halpin explained what sets the best artworks apart and guided attendees around the wide range of works students had made.

LIFE DRAWING
The first DHSVAD Life Drawing Event of 2025 was a sellout, with new and returning students and parents spending the evening drawing side-by-side.
Our amazing model, Alicia made everyone feel very relaxed, introducing a drawing game toward the end of the evening, which challenged everyone to step a little out of their comfort zones to complete a split drawing with a drawing partner.
Thanks go to Simon, Vanessa, Sam and Nat for helping with set up and pack up and the amazing Linda who stepped in at the last minute to be our RSA.
What a great team, making for a wonderful evening.
There are Life Drawing Events planned for each Term this year so keep your eye out for the Enews flyer with Term 2 details.
Thanks to Robyn Chiles for organising the event.
