Depth studies allow students a pathway to pursue their interests in Science and engage more fully with scientific investigations

This semester in Year 11 Physics, students were working on their depth studies. 

The depth studies are a way for students to extend their understanding of Physics concepts they learn throughout the year by designing and executing an experiment to test a hypothesis. They then write a scientific report to demonstrate their understanding.

Some of the experiments tested hypotheses based on 

• Conservation of Energy
• Conservation or Momentum
• Friction
• Aerodynamics and lift
• Fluid dynamic

....... just to name a few.
