SRC Bake sale to pay it forward

Stephanie, Student Support Advisor —

Diversity Day celebrates a sense of belonging and respect across the school community

SRC representatives and some very enthusiastic and talented Yr 7 students and staff baked a delicious assortment of sweet treats, including cupcakes, meringues, cookies and brownies for Diversity Day.

The 2022 Leadership Team will be donating the money fundraised to Black Rainbow, a national volunteer Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBQTIA+SB social enterprise in the pursuit of positive health and wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Asexual, Sistergirl and Brotherboys (LGBQTIA+SB).

The organisation is a non-profit that is 100% Indigenous-owned and operated. Black Rainbow advocates for leadership and solutions, identifying and addressing social and cultural determinants of wellbeing related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians who identify as LGBTIQA+SB.

Thank you to all the students and staff who contributed to the success of the stall, including everyone purchasing the baked goods on the day
