Year 12 Design Students Complete Impressive Major Projects
Our Year 12 Design and Technology, Industrial Technology, and Textiles and Design students have been working tirelessly to complete their major projects in preparation for NESA marking.
Their hard work, creativity, and dedication have resulted in an outstanding array of innovative and thoughtful designs across various disciplines.
In Textiles and Design, students have showcased their talent by creating textiles art pieces, costumes, and apparel for their Major Textiles Projects. Their inspirations ranged from pop culture and historical events to major moments in Australian society and influential art movements. These unique creations reflect not only their technical skills but also their ability to convey ideas and narratives through fabric and design.
Design and Technology students took on the challenge of designing for real-world needs, producing projects that addressed areas such as safety and security for young people, eco-friendly designs, aesthetic and ergonomic products, and health and fitness solutions. Their projects demonstrated a clear understanding of how design can improve both form and function in everyday life.
In Industrial Technology, students crafted functional and aesthetic furniture pieces, including an impressive cabinet inspired by Danny Kamerath a renowned woodworker. These projects required precision, creativity, and a deep knowledge of materials and construction techniques, resulting in high-quality pieces that are both practical and artistic.
Each of these students deserves to be commended for their dedication and passion toward their respective design disciplines. Many of them spent countless hours outside of school to bring their visions to life. We are proud of their accomplishments and congratulate them on the completion of their major projects.
We wish all our Year 12 design students the best of luck as they head into their HSC exams, and we look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the world of design.
