It's been a wonderful start to 2025, and we’re thrilled to share what our Visual Arts students have been up to!

Year 12 HSC Visual Arts results have provided a time for celebration with four student’s Body of Works artworks short listed for ArtExpress with two of them being selected for exhibition, Oscar H at the Art Gallery of NSW and Miles T at Hazelhurst Gallery.

In addition, 27% our students received Band 6 and 60% attained Band 5, with our students performing above the State Mean in every question. Congratulations to the Year 12 Visual Arts class of 2024 and the teachers who through their teaching, guidance and support ensured that high expectations were achieved.

On Monday, February 24, Year 11 students attended a drawing workshop at Cockatoo Island, led by artist Robyn Chiles, and visited ArtExpress at the Art Gallery of New South Wales (AGNSW). This workshop complemented their first unit of work for the year, 'At First Sight,' which focused on drawing and photography, as well as their first assessment task, 'Artmaking.'
