Deputy Principal's Report: A Strong Start to Term 1

Ms Kapeliotis, Deputy Principal (R.) Years 7 & 12March 9, 2025

It is with great enthusiasm that I write to you as the relieving Deputy Principal for this term. I am thrilled to be supporting our Year 7 and Year 12 students during this crucial period in their educational journey.

Year 7 - A Stellar Start
Our Year 7 students have made an impressive transition into high school life. They have:

  • Embraced their new environment with enthusiasm

  • Participated wholeheartedly in the Swimming Carnival, setting a positive tone for the year

  • Engaged meaningfully in peer support sessions, connecting with mentors and developing crucial social and emotional skills

  • Dived into their studies and extracurricular activities with gusto

It was a pleasure to meet many Year 7 parents at our recent BBQ. Looking ahead, we're all excited about the upcoming Year 7 camp at the Broken Bay Sports and Recreation Centre, where students will engage in team-building activities and create lasting memories.

Year 12 - Focused and Determined
Our Year 12 cohort, now in their second term of the HSC, continue to impress with their:

  • Diligence and focus in preparing for upcoming challenges

  • Strong work ethic both in and out of the classroom

  • Determination to achieve great success

While it's a demanding time for them, I'm confident in their ability to excel.

A Vibrant School Community
Across all year levels, students are engaging in a wide range of activities that support their growth and well-being. The energy and positivity throughout the school are palpable and I look forward to the exciting events still to come this term.

Here's to a fantastic and productive term ahead!
