P&C news
P & C Dully High — March 9, 2025
The P&C kicked off the year with welcome events for our new Year 7 families.
Year 7 parents welcome morning tea |
As our new parents launched their kids on their high school journey on February 6, our P&C was there with cups of tea and baked goods to welcome them.
Thanks to Jacqui, Stephen, Dianne and Ms Kapeliotis for their help.
Year 7 families welcome BBQ |
Year 7 students and their families and carers were welcomed by the school at a BBQ provided by the P&C. Thanks to all of the parents and carers who generously gave their time to help.
One of the premier events on the P&C calendar is coming up this month. Inside Art Express, at the Art Gallery of NSW, is an opportunity for students, parents and carers to view the best of the best HSC visual art major works for 2024. This year, our very own DHSVAD student Oscar Hartley's beautiful artwork is part of the exhibition. Join the curator for a tour of the truly beautiful and inspiring art HSC students are producing. Booking link here.
Every term, the P&C runs a Life Drawing session in the art classrooms. The professional model is robed, making the event suitable for students and families. It's a chance to share art-making with the students, have a couple of drinks and meet people.
Keep and eye out on e-news for information and links to buy your tickets.
The DHSVAD P&C welcomes all parents and carers to our meetings, which are held on the third Wednesday of the month in the teachers meeting room (unless otherwise advised).
We communicate our activities via the e-news app.
To access the full minutes of each meeting, you will need to become a P&C member. Email pandcdhsvad@gmail.com. The membership fee is $2 per year.
We aim to foster a sense of community and belonging and our activities are centred around those goals. They include parent and carer art shows, Life Drawing, a visit to Art Express at the Art Gallery, a presence at the Dulwich Hill Festival and supporting student design markets.
There are many opportunities to get involved in our fund-raising activities, which include the Federal Election BBQ, cake stalls at the Dulwich Hill festival and supporting the Winter Gala.
If you're time poor, you can make a donation to the P&C via School Bytes, the school's online student activity payment system. An optional $50 P&C contribution is included each year.
