Dunedin Community Health Maori and Pacific Community Information Session

Come along to hear about the new Dunedin Community Health. Discount GP visits $15, no wait times, students welcome. Circumcision and other procedures available.
Children’s Day Out 2024
Children's Day is a community event at Forsyth Barr stadium on Sunday 10th March 2024 aimed at providing a fun day out for families and whānau with tamariki under 5 years old. The event is a gold coin donation entry, and then all activities after entry are free.

We will have craft making, pet-rock painting, face painting, children's entertainers, and more. Our entertainers this year will be the Tūhura Otago Museum Science Show, Captain Jack Pukeko the Pirate, Em and Me (with a children’s dance crew), and TomTom the Clown. Coffee will be available for purchase.

Workshop: How to increase Charitable Donations
- Date: Wednesday, 13 March
- Time: 5.30pm - 7pm
- Venue: OBS 1.17, Otago Business School
Prof. Stephen Knowles will discuss how to increase donations from individuals (not strategies for applying for grants) in his presentation on Eight Ways to Increase Donations: Lessons From Experimental Economics and Psychology. Then there will be time for discussion.

Gasworks Growers & Craft Market
The Gasworks Growers and Craft Market is an opportunity for people to sell plants, fruit, vegetables grown at home. Come along and sell or share!

South Dunedin Street Festival
The South Dunedin Street Festival would like to invite you and your whānau to come and experience our vibrant multicultural carnival of entertainment, art, crafts, workshops, activities and delicious food.
As well as music, dance and street performers, this event showcases community groups, clubs and organisations offering activities, workshops, freebies, demonstrations and information about how you can get involved. Join us in creating a memorable grass roots event where there will be something for everybody to enjoy.

- Venue: Lower King Edward Street
Festival goers can enjoy the interactive stalls, learning new skills or creating items to take home. It is also an opportunity to find out about local clubs and community groups to access services or enrol in something new. From swing dancing and repurposing old e-waste to the curtain bank, the festival promises you won’t go home empty-handed.

Race Relations Forum: Unity in Local Community

This forum will take the form of a workshop with collective discussion in break-out groups. This is free event, with food and drink provided.

Toss the Boss - Southern Youth Development's Annual Fundraiser
Got plans for 2024? How about 'facing your fears for a great cause' plans? We can help you out with that!
This year we're back with our annual fundraiser, Toss the Boss, and we'll be looking for community leaders who are willing to raise funds in their community for the opportunity to abseil from Forsyth Barr Stadium. It's an opportunity of a lifetime and a great way to ensure young people in Otago get the support they need.
This year's Toss the Boss is on Friday, 17 May.

Bikes@syd bicycle maintenance and recycling workshops
Southern Youth Development's bikes@syd bicycle maintenance and recycling workshops teach our rangatahi how to fix and maintain their bicycles while also contributing to social and environmental good. By learning about how to recycle, fix and maintain bicycles, rangatahi learn practical skills through teamwork, leaderships and collaboration.
If you've got a young person, or group of young people who want to get involved, learn some new skills and learn more about the world and our whenua, then this is your sign to get in touch! Workshops are every Tuesday during term time, after school. Workshops for groups or schools can be negotiated to suit everyone.
