This is a great opportunity to welcome newcomers to Dunedin and for members of the local community to experience a marae welcome.
Trees for Families
Trees for Families is back for 2023! We invite you to please join us this Father’s Day. This event provides you the opportunity to mark an important family milestone, while also contributing to important biodiversity and revegetation projects. Whether you are celebrating a birth, commemorating a passed loved one, marking a birthday, or simply wanting to connect to the land, we welcome you.

- Venue: Rotary Park
- Costs: Trees and shrubs are $20 each
Together, through this annual event, we have contributed 1,000 trees to Ōtepoti, Dunedin over the last 20 years. We hope you are excited contribute to the ever-growing “forest of memories”. Supplies are limited, so register early to reserve a spot!

Greater Green Island Get Together

- Venue: Dunedin Baptist Chruch Building in Concord
The Greater Green Island Get Together is back for another year! Fun for the whole family with free activities, clubs and community groups to check out, food to buy and fundraising for local community projects. Come along to see 30 stalls including: Bouncy castles, Face painting, Fire engines, Balloon art, Indoor bowls, Seed planting, Badge making, Giant bubble, Games and activities. Watch performances from 6 local schools, including bands, kapa haka and choirs, extra performances from local groups. Buy hot food and drinks while you are here.
This is a community event run for you by Greater Green Island Community Network. All are welcome from near and far!”

Women's Multicultural Connection Group
Ready to connect with amazing women from diverse cultures? Looking for a safe space to forge new connections and share experiences? Look no further!
- Date: Every Thursday
- Time: 1pm - 2.30pm
- Venue: Downe's Room, Mosgiel Library
Whether you're a local or a newcomer, embrace the richness of different cultures and create new friendships as we come together to provide support, understanding, and friendship. This is an all-inclusive, safe space for women to learn from each other, celebrate diversity, and build a stronger, united community.

2023 Otago Polyfest Registration
This year, the Otago Polyfest is celebrating 30 years with a dynamic programme of performances by young people from across the Otago region and special guests.
The stalls will be set up on the Edgar Centre courts providing more space and display options. It will run from Monday 11 September to Friday 15 September. We are encouraging our stallholders to be innovative and vibrant to create our inaugural stalls village. Nau mai.
The registration form will ask you to describe your focus and any special elements that you bring to showcase, share or offer. This will help us to map and promote the village vibes to the public.
Please note
- Each stall will have 2 tables, 2 chairs and display boards.
- Preference will be given to stall holders who register for the full festival.
- Stall fees are priced per day. [1 day - $150, 2 days - $300, 3 days - $350, 4 days - $400]

Recycle a Device
Anyone can learn how to fix computer equipment, you don't need any special skills, just a bit of know-how! Come along to this workshop where we'll teach you how to refurbish a laptop in a day, and then you can take that laptop home with you to use for school, work, job seeking and everyday life.
This one day workshop by Recycle A Device is free for rangatahi aged between 12-30yo, simply register and head along to Otago Polytech on Saturday 30 September. Places are strictly limited to 20 and priority is given to those who do not currently have a laptop but would love one to unlock the possibilities of the digital world!

Each month, Toitū and the Centre for Global Migrations invite different speakers to highlight the stories of Otago's wide and varying migrant history. From early Māori-European encounters to modern refugees, and everyone in between this series will barely break the surface on our region's rich history of migration.

A Dunedin Multicultural Council and Musselburgh School Partnership, growing your own herbs and vegetables and learning about growing food in New Zealand.
