Pad Making Workshop
Do you enjoy making things? Are you tired of spending money on menstrual care every month? Would you like to reduce waste by using reusable pads instead of disposable ones?
Join us for the Pad Kit Making Challenge! Research shows that a menstruator can save on average at least $2000 by using reusable options instead of disposable products, and we believe the real amount is even higher. Using reusable pads can benefit your health by avoiding chemicals found in conventional products and help the environment by reducing plastic waste.

Workshop Overview:
Meeting One: Explore reusable period care options, allocate materials, choose patterns and sizes, and take home materials to cut out for next week.
Meeting Two: Sew the pre-cut pads in a team effort, troubleshoot, and take home more material for session three.

Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) Professional Development
Last year Dr Frank Corrigan (MD, FRC Psych) delivered quality, top level professional development to therapists and those working in the field of mental health in Dunedin.
Dr Corrigan's research broadly explored the intersection between affective Neuroscience and the science of healing, culminating in the development of Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR).
This new and novel psychotherapeutic approach emphasises the importance of tracking a distinctive neurophysiological sequence embedded in ‘deep brain’
systems.
One of the most unique aspects of DBR as a trauma-focused therapy, is the embodiment of a natural healing process that is consonant with the evolutionary process of the developing brain and nervous system.
Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) is a very effective treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and complex trauma. Many therapists who use DBR say it is as, or more effective than EMDR.
Frontiers of Hope have a line up of online training for Sept/Oct 2024 - limited spaces! For more information and prices click here.
