Are you thinking of the future of your organisations - Talk to Ignite Consultants
Ignite is a student-run non-profit that provides free business advice and strategic planning to charities in Dunedin and Wellington. We help organisations to overcome obstacles and achieve their aspirations through harnessing students’ fresh perspectives. Ignite recruits university students a cut above the crowd to help facilitate real change and development in the non-profit sector. Since 2010, Ignite has worked with 50+ charities, recruited 200 students, and put in 24,000 hours of volunteering.
This semester, Ignite is working with WEKA, DSO, SuperGrans, Chisholm Links and Alzheimers Otago. We will complete an 8-week process, working alongside their organisations to create solutions to issues they may be facing. This culminates in our consultants producing a report, which they speak to at our Presentation Evening.
Ignite is currently looking for organisations to work with during Semester Two 2020 (projects starting in August). We would love to chat with you at our Semester One Presentation Evening on 21st May (location TBC). To get in touch with Ignite about a potential project, or to find out more about us, please email executive@igniteconsultants.co.nz.

Applicants can request up to $20,000 (excl. GST) per project.
Guidelines and application forms are available here.
If you are interested in applying, please register here.

Aspiring Leaders’ Forum: On Faith and Values
The Aspiring Leaders’ Forum will be held again from the 18th – 21st June 2020 in Wellington. The Dunedin City Council and the Otago Community Trust are looking to support three applicants for the forum this year. This includes covering the conference fees (all forum expenses, accommodation and meals during Aspiring Leaders’ Forum), additional accommodation as required, and travel to and from Wellington.
If you have some young people in mind for this forum, they need to be aged between 18 and 26, and exhibit leadership potential in their sphere of influence. The Forum is an incredible opportunity for young leaders to interact with and learn from a diverse group of peers and leaders from this nation. It is important that they are willing to discuss leadership from a personal perspective, as a narrative approach is used during Forum.
Please see the website www.aspiringleaders.org for more information or email Rebekah.new@dcc.govt.nz for any questions or queries.
We ask that the aspiring leader apply by having an employer, whanau member, or youth organisation nominate you by writing a letter of support and attaching it along with their CV. They will need to be available for interviews in early April, at this stage in the week before Easter. Please send in applications to Rebekah.new@dcc.govt.nz and these applications close at 6pm on Wednesday 25th March 2020.
