Office of Ethnic Communities COVID-19 Survey
The Office of Ethnic Communities (OEC) are asking ethnic communities across Aotearoa New Zealand to share their experiences and thoughts about the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges it presents.

Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development
The Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCE), Otago - Whaiao is a collaboration of local knowledge working together to achieve global goals. RCE aims to improve education for sustainable development by bringing together multisectoral and interdisciplinary knowledge of sustainability to the Otago Region.
We are looking for people who would like to contribute in two key ways:
- Contribute in identifying the key features that would make the database valuable resource for yourself or others
- Make yourself known to the network so we can include you in the database.

Dunedin Regional Events Fund to launch
A new contestable Regional Events Fund is now open for applications.
With a total pool of up to $720,000 available over two and a half years, the fund is aimed specifically at events that will attract increased domestic visitation and spend in the city, to offset the loss of international tourism dollars.
New or existing events that meet the criteria can apply for between $25,000 and $100,000 to stage a single or multi-year event, which must take place between March 2021 and June 2023. The funding can be applied for in addition other Dunedin City Council event grants.
The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) funding is being facilitated by the Dunedin City Council’s Enterprise Dunedin, in its capacity as the Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) for the city.
Enterprise Dunedin is working alongside other southern RTOs including Tourism Waitaki, Clutha Development and Great South to ensure the best economic impact for all communities and avoid date clashes, where possible.

Neighbourhood Matching Grant
Communities and neighbourhoods are eligible to apply for funding to support an activity that will enhance their community. Applications can be made at any time and communities are permitted to make a maximum of two applications per year. Staff endeavour to provide an answer to any application within 10 working days of receipt.

Dunedin City Council Grants
The first of two funding rounds for a range of DCC grants are now open, with application forms available for completion on the DCC website.
Contestable grants opening include; Community, Community Events, Arts, Community Arts, Creative Communities and COVID-19 Response, Te Aō Turoa and Waste Minimisation grants.
Council staff are available to discuss the criteria and eligibility of the different funds. This will assist you to decide which grant to apply for, and whether your project, event or service meets the criteria. We recommend meeting with one of our advisors before you submit your application even if you have applied before.
*Please note this is the second and final round of COVID-19 Response funding. Applications close Friday, March 26.

Dunedin Community Accounting
The answer to your club's accounting questions. Dunedin Community Accounting is a free, volunteer service for non-profits.
Senior accountancy students from the University of Otago provide answers and practical help under the supervision of a Chartered Accountant.

While the DCC doesn’t administer any of these opportunities, the community advisors are available to support you if you have any queries. Advisors make every effort to keep this information current.
