Applied Community Interpreting
Established in 1993 as a not-for-profit, Interpreter New Zealand is an interpreting provider-of-choice for the New Zealand government, corporate organisations and community organisations. With over 250 trained interpreters offering over 70 different languages, we offer interpreting either in-person or by phone and video, and services are offered 24/7.
The next intake of Applied Community Interpreting training is in February 2023, and we are currently recruiting immigrants with good English proficiency who may be interested to work as a community interpreter.
Applicants who are fluent in one of the following languages are encouraged to apply: Arabic, Farsi, Samoan, Tamil, Tagalog, Urdu, Chin Khmer, Ukrainian and Cantonese.
Applicants who successfully complete the in-house workshop can go on to complete a NAATI certification, and will be offered employment with Interpreting New Zealand.
