Building Consent Authority (BCA) accreditation re-assessment
A routine reassessment by International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) of the Dunedin City Council BCA highlighted examples of good practice and performance, and a small number of non-compliances.
The non-compliances relate to information we are required to obtain from applicants for building consent in relation to alterations to existing buildings, and specified systems being added, altered or removed as part of the project.
Our team is currently working on clearing the non-compliances and we will advise when this occurs.
Guidance to assist applicants with meeting their obligations when lodging a building consent application is included in the "Are you altering an existing building, or adding / altering a specified system" article in this publication.
