Code Compliance Certificate reminder

Building Services Team —

Incomplete applications for code compliance certificates (CCC) are a common problem that can cause costly delays for applicants. Fortunately there are a few things you can do to help smooth the way.

Before you submit an application, make sure you have provided all the information requested by the site inspector or outlined in the Record of Required Site Inspections (issued with your building consent).

This could include records of work, energy works certificates, evidence of ownership, or evidence that specified systems are capable of performing to the performance standards set out in the building consent.

Our online application form has prompts to help you submit a complete application. Being a registered user of our online service allows you to save the application and return to it later and check progress once it has been submitted.

All property owners need to apply for a CCC once consented building work is completed. If you are unsure whether your work is finished, or if it complies with the building consent plans, book a final inspection to ensure everything is as it should be.

Once you've done that, you're ready to apply for your CCC.
