Ray Bremer was recently re-appointed as a senior building inspector with the building inspections team.

Ray will assist Team Leader Joe Fitzsimmons with managing the day to day inspection activities.

Ray is well known to the Dunedin building industry as both a builder and as a building inspector. He comes to us highly skilled and qualified having gained two National Diplomas in Building Control Surveying.  

Ray also keeps busy outside of work hours. He has a keen interest in the aviation industry and holds a commercial pilot’s licence.  Ray is also a senior firefighter for the Mosgiel volunteer fire brigade.

Ray resigned from the Dunedin City Council back in 2013 to take up the position as Building Control Manager for the Clutha District Council.  “I enjoyed my time with the Clutha team and acquired skills that will help with working effectively in challenging environments”.

The experience Ray gained in that role will be an asset to the Inspections Team and we look forward to working with him again.
