Who's new in Building Services?
We have recently engaged a number of new employees and made changes to our organisational structure.
Matt Bond has recently joined the processing team. Prior to joining us Matt worked as a draftsman, responsible for putting others ideas into architectural plans. Matts previous experience and skills have enabled him to pick up our processes without too much difficulty.
Craig McCormack has re-joined the consent processing team after an 18 month break away fishing, tramping and biking. Must have been difficult to make the decision to give that life style up Craig!
The processing team is managed by Team Leader Grant Sutton, with senior officers Craig Edmunds and Les Bell providing day to day support.
Our newest staff member, Ali Davidson is joining the inspections team. Ali, a Certifying Plumber and Gasfitter and Tradesman Drainlayer has the skills and expertise required to join this busy team.
The inspections team is managed by Team Leader, Joe Fitzsimmons with senior officers, Ray Bremer, John Peace, Marc Gent and Cam Allum supporting Joe in a variety of roles.
The Building Services administration team numbers have been boosted with the merging of the research and licensing team. This combined team acts as a integral support group to the inspection, processing and compliance teams. Team Leader, Barbara O'Brien, responsible for managing this team, is supported by senior officers, Jamie Chilton and Emma Gamble.
Laurel Hendl recently joined the administration team, having previously worked in the DCC records department. Laurel compliments the team with her a raft of knowledge around record and document management.
And lastly, Mel Shone is re-joining the administration team in December. Having spent the past few years in Central Otago, Mel and her family have made the decision to return to Dunedin.
