Occasionally, due to resourcing, we may opt to use an external contractor to help with processing your building consent application. In these situations the contractor is working on our behalf.

We notice that a number of people applying for building consents online are adding notes requesting their application is not to be allocated to a particular person or contractor for processing.  While we would like to be in a position to accommodate individual requests, we must continue to allocate applications for processing in a manner that allows us to meet our statutory requirements. 

We will notify you if your application is being processed by an external contractor. 

Note, if the contractor requests further information during processing your application, please respond to them directly.
