When submitting an application on behalf of the owner please let us know what authorisation you have to act as their agent.

Our application forms include a section to advise if you are submitting the application on behalf of the owner (acting as the agent). This requirement is quite often overlooked by the applicant. If acting as the agent you need to tell us what authorisation you have from the owners to apply on their behalf. This could be simply the owners accepted a contract, or a meeting/conversation held with all owners and approval given.

Evidence of ownership is another requirement that is overlooked. Suitable ways to meet this requirement are a copy of the; record of title, sale and purchase or lease agreement, or any other document showing the owners full legal names (such as a copy of a rates account). DCC can order a record of title for you if requested in the application (current cost $50.00), alternatively ask the owner to provide a title for you to submit with the application.
