Who's new in Building Services?

Building Services Team —

We have recently welcomed a number of new employees into our fold.

Nathan Marshall and Nigel Cook joined the building consent processing team in March. Both have a background in the building industry and bring a wealth of knowledge to the team.  After undergoing some intensive training Nathan and Nigel are already processing building consents with minimum supervision.

Our Research and Licensing team also has a new team member. Penny Farrell, who previously worked in customers services for the Otago Regional Council, joined the team in April.  Any spare time Penny has out of work is taken up coaching a local girls school rowing team.

Sahana Poojari recently moved to Dunedin with her family following time working in the Christchurch City Council’s building department. Sahana joined our building administration team and has fallen in love with our wonderful city, people and workplace. She spends any free time with her family, going for walks and visiting places of interest in particular the weekend markets.

Our newest team member, site inspector Daryn Kennedy, joined us in May. Daryn, a certifying plumber and drainlayer brings extensive knowledge and skills to the team. In his previous job, working for local plumbing and drainlaying company, Daryn specialised in commercial projects, in particular in the Central Otago district.

I'm sure you will join us in welcoming our new staff.
