Who's new in Building Services?

Building Services Team —

We recently welcomed a number of new people to compliment the team.

Dan Anfield, Darren Brown and Shayne Rolfe have recently joined the consent processing team, and Alana Reid has rejoined the team after spending 3 years with the DCC Property Department.

Alana initially looked after civic and commercial buildings in her property officer role, and more recently was engaged as a housing officer in charge of a team looking after 1000 tenants.

Dan comes to us with a plumbing and drainage background and was previously employed by a local company.

Darren worked on Nauru Island for 7 years as a plumbing supervisor for the Australian Government before joining us in April.

Shayne has spent the last 5 years working in California on a research project for the US Department of Defense. Prior to this Shayne was a consulting mechanical engineer with WSP, one of the largest consulting  companies in the world.

Jono Jefferson joined the Support and Compliance Team in April.  Jono originates from Melbourne and has spent the last few years working as an investigator for a private company and more recently an investigations (compliance) officer for local government.

Michael Hood started with the Inspections Team in March.  Michael has complimented the team with his raft of commercial building knowledge.

Belynda Norrish and Quentin Ransby recently started in our new cadet program (see the Cadet/Graduate article in this publication). Both recently finished studying at the Otago Polytechnic achieving National Diploma's in Architectural Technology and Architectural Draughting.  Prior to this Belynda worked in agricultural sales and Quentin spent 10 years working as a plumber/gasfitter in Cromwell.

They are all a huge asset to our fantastic team.
