Dianne reviews the latest from this much-love Australian author

Published by Mira

I'm sure there are a few people out there who are like me and can't wait to get their hand on the latest book by one of their favourite authors. When it was my turn to get my hands on the latest Rachael Johns novel I was happy, and I knew what I was going to be doing in the weekend... reading!!

As usual, it didn't take me long to get hooked into the story. I had to know how Fergus McWilliams (called Mr McDuck by some of his students) adjusted to country life and the end of his engagement. He's the first male teacher to arrive since forever, and all the single ladies are vying for his attention. But what about Tabitha (Tab) Cooper-Jones? It's the talk of the town when everyone finds out she's pregnant, and she used a sperm donor at a clinic. How will she cope?

The book just reels you in - Fergus keeps digging himself in trouble with Tab. Can he ever get anything right, but more to the point, can he sort out his own problems and not keep bottling them up? Can country life be the key to both of their problems or are they going to end up in different directions?

I found I couldn't put this book down, so no work got done in my household, but who cares - a book is more important.
