Dunedin City Council Service Centres

Dunedin Public Libraries —

Our community libraries also operate as Dunedin City Council Service Centres. Find out what you can use our Service Centres for below.

Alongside being libraries, our community libraries also operate as Dunedin City Council Service Centres, meaning you can access a variety of services at your local library.

Dunedin City Council Service Centres allow you to:

  • Buy a Bee Card, top it up, and get a bus timetable

  • Buy a Bokashi Bucket

  • Buy a new blue recycle bin

  • Get a 75+ parking permit

  • Pay your rates

  • Make other Dunedin City Council payments (parking tickets, etc.)

  • Register your dog

  • Order a yellow lid recycle bin.

You don't need to be a member of the library to use the DCC Service Centre but if you would like to sign up, it's free! There are no overdue fees, and you have access to collections across Dunedin with one card.
