Our services during Alert Level 4 and Alert Level 3
All our libraries are closed and our bookbuses are not operating.
Please hold on to any books you have on loan. You can return items when libraries are open again. All return chutes have been closed under Alert Level 4 to protect library customers.
All books and other items borrowed from our libraries due back between 19 August and 2 September now have a due date of 3 September. All available holds will now have a hold expiry date of 3 September. If the Government extends the lockdown further, then we will extend these dates.
Library customers will not be liable for any overdue charges for items due back while the libraries have been closed.
During Alert Level 4, our Digital Library is always open offering a variety of options to access, read and download content including:
- eBooks and eAudiobooks from BorrowBox
- eBooks from Wheelers
- Magazines and newspapers from around the world in English and other languages
- Romance Book Cloud

Plus digital resources to learn a language, trace your family history, learn new skills and so much more…..
