Kia Manawanui!

Puaka/Puanga (Rigel) is not situated in the Matariki star cluster, but rather is the brightest star in the constellation of Orion. Each year Matariki and Puaka compete with one another to celebrate te tau hou the new year. Therefore, Puaka is synonymous with persistence. 

Recently, Aotearoa New Zealand has persisted in the fight against Covid-19 and it has paid off. We have compiled a list of pukapuka that remind us of the power of persistence - kia manawanui!
