Light Shining in the Forest. Paul Torday by Hachette Publishers

Light Shining in the Forest by Paul Torday

A while ago I found a copy of Salmon Fishing in the Yemen which had been well reviewed, read it and thoroughly enjoyed the read.

Thus I was pleased when I found Light Shining in the Forest. Torday creates his characters really well and the plot didn’t disappoint, although it was really scary in places. You know as you read that a little girl is going to be snatched.

You suffer through the families.

The three main, but very different characters evolve and create an ongoing group, but you still have no idea where the children are, why they have been taken.

As in his previous novel, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, it is difficult to know how it will end, but the pace keeps up.

And the end is not anticipated, well not by this reader.

A really good read on a wet day lockdown.
