As Dunedin begins to plunge into wintry depths, Dunedin Public Libraries want to remind you there's always a warm and exciting place to escape to in your community!

Lights, Camera, Science! | NZ Science Festival 

Join five fabulous filmmakers from the University of Otago’s Department of Science Communication for a “wild” afternoon of short science and nature films, followed by Q&A with the filmmakers.

Winter Time Afternoon Tea

Warm up a winter-time Sunday with a spot of afternoon tea, followed by celebrated writer Laurence Fearnley in conversation with award-winning poet and publisher Sue Wootton and a reading from Winter Time.

Winter Time, by Laurence Fearnley (Hut Builder; Edwin and Matilda; The Quiet Spectacular), is a new, vivid novel set in the winter-struck Mackenzie Basin exploring familial love, friendship and how our lives touch, connect and impact upon one another.

Come along for tea and simple treats from 2pm, talk starts at 2.20pm.

Masks are required to enter the library and during the talk; they can be removed while having afternoon tea
