What's On
The Write Time
Develop your skills, workshop your stories, and grow your network with published author Ella West! Each session focuses on a different part of writing: finding story, character, setting, and audience.
Find Your Character
Authors often develop attachments to their character, so it’s important to get to know them well! This session will focus on characters; the protagonists, the villains, the comedic relief, and everyone in between.

Visions for Dunedin: Our Heritage, Our Future
Kāi Tahu Design – Heritage or Here and Now?
SPEAKERS: Michael Bathgate (Senior Planner at Aukaha) and Kitty Brown (Project Manager at Aukaha)
Ōtepoti/Dunedin's heritage is largely based on post-gold rush Victorian and Edwardian architecture. Meanwhile, Kāi Tahu dealt with colonisation's effects, petitioning for Treaty recognition. Until recently, Kāi Tahu culture was absent from Ōtepoti's built form. Now, Aukaha facilitates inclusion of Kāi Tahu values in urban projects. This talk explores integrating Kāi Tahu design into Dunedin's post-colonial legacy.
FREE – Koha welcome
