New LOTE Online Resource for Kids

A new digital resource, LOTE Online for Kids (incorporating te reo Singalong), is now live on our website. Te Reo Singalong has been incorporated into this new service, which includes children’s digital stories with audio in over 45 world languages, together with English translations. This allows tamariki to enjoy the magic of books in LOTE (Languages Other Than English) from the comfort of home. Each book includes an English translation to help develop multilingual reading and listening skills. The new resource supplements our youth book collections and allows us to provide children with access to many more languages than we can stock on our physical shelves. New books and languages will be added monthly.

Log in with your Dunedin Library card number and password to start reading the stories, no special apps needed.
