How to be a Hero in 6 Easy Steps Dhana Fox and James Hart

This is a humorous story about Rosie, a shark who wanted to be a hero and thought it would be easy. It said so in a book she once read. She followed the instructions and did all the preparation and felt that the day had come when she would attain the much-desired status of hero.  The only trouble was, there was no one to save. Rosie was stunned and very disappointed. However, though she was completely unaware of it, there was someone who had needed saving: a tiny, terrified fish who thanked her for scaring the big fish away. You will laugh out loud when you read this.

Road Trip! Steve Light

Bear and rabbit are on a mission: a new light is needed for Bear's truck and rabbit's help is required. They collect their mates and venture through the forest to Elephant's Old Junk Tree, which is a fascinating place. This is a great book to read aloud and there are many detailed pictures to enjoy, including a good map. The inside of rabbit's burrow is particularly interesting. This is one not to miss.
