Join in this national reading event for people of all ages! Organise a community event at your library and/or encourage individuals and families to join in from home, work, on the bus… Read for fun for 15 minutes or more anytime during the evening then register participation at bds.org.nz/booknight and go into the prize draw. Five Minutes of Frame
Dive afresh into the works of Dunedin writer, Janet Frame with a 15-minute taster. A delicious selection of her books available to borrow.

2017 National Flash Fiction Day Competition Winners event. This year Ōtepoti Dunedin will host their first regional event, with support from Dunedin Public Libraries and Dunedin UNESCO City of Literature.
Writers were asked to submit their best 300-word story. Join judges Michael Harlow and Emma Neale (adult category), and Fleur Beale and Heather McQuillan (youth category) as they announce the winners.
