In the care of her aunts and siblings she feels unloved and uncared for and longs to have her mother back home. This novel, a tale of abandonment, is thought-provoking and insightful and the author does a great job of describing the place, an unknown Caribbean Island in the 1960s.

The main character manages to escape from Germany to England where she works running a spy network. Full of intriguing twists and turns, this novel is riveting and a real page-turner.
The Borrowdale Body Rebecca Tope
Christopher, the auctioneer of a large house in Borrowdale, is being shown around the property by the owner and sole heir of the mansion Jenny Reade. During the tour they come across a dead body in the basement, which he is persuaded to keep quiet about. He continues with the auction, however this is soon interrupted by police because Jenny Reade has been murdered. This is a cosy mystery set against the backdrop of the beautiful English Lake District.
