Is a Cellphone really a camera?: Getting your best shot.

Thursday 23rd July, 11am - Port Chalmers Library

Brian Treanor has had an interest in photography from the age of 11 when his parents gave him a Brownie 127 as a birthday present.

After getting the photography bug in his hobby darkroom and amassing a collection of more cameras than he's prepared to admit, Brian has lectured in photography and Photoshop at Otago Polytechnic and is an active member of the Dunedin Photographic Society.

In this fascinating and entertaining talk, Brian will cover a brief history of photography through to modern digital, with some of the cameras he has collected over the years. He'll explain how a digital camera works and give you simple techniques to improve your pictures, as well as advice on the care and feeding of your equipment.

Tea and coffee will be served. No booking required.
