If you like this...

Readers and parents have really liked the new ‘If you liked – then try…’ display in the childrens’ section

Some readers find it really hard to move on from books they’ve loved. The fear is that no book will ever be as good as Dog Man or Pony Club Secrets – ever! But we know that there are more great books and we’ve put up posters and suggestions of other authors and titles readers might enjoy instead of reading their favourite books over and over. We’ll be adding to the books suggested to keep the ideas coming too. We’ve also put up a ‘Staff Favourites’ display so that people can find out the books we’ve found and enjoyed. There are a selection of recommended reading lists on the Children’s help desk and Youth Services staff are also working on adding more of these to the library website.

Library staff love helping people find great books, it is one of our favourite parts of the job. If you’d like us to create a special book list for you or your young reader, either ask us when you are in next or, use our online ‘Create My Book List’ request form.

Also check out our staff reviews in NB and Stamp of Approval.
