Jesse, writing 15 years later, tells how the events of that day have affected her life as she tries to understand how the untimely loss of her brother came about.

X: A Novel. Ilyasah Shabazz
Malcolm X was an African-American Muslim minister who had an unfortunate start in life. His father died when he was six and his mother was committed to a psychiatric hospital when he was 13. After living in several foster homes he spent time in prison before becoming a political activist. This is his story from the time he left his home town on a Greyhound bus bound for Boston until 1965 when he was assassinated. This is a true story written by his sister.

The Traitor and The Thief. Gareth Ward
Sin is the discontented lieutenant of a gang of pickpocketers. When he is offered a new life with a rival outfit the prospects seem appealing but perhaps things are not quite as they seem. Set against the backdrop of a dystopian steampunk world full of fantastic gadgets this is an intriguing story from one of this year’s Storylines award winners.
