- 1kg strawberries
- 800g sugar
- Juice of 1/2 a lemon
- A pinch of finely chopped mint
Clean the strawberries and remove the stalks. Toss into a deep pot or pan. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Cook on a low heat. When the strawberries begin to soften, add sugar and mix. Simmer for about 2 hours. Add the chopped mint leaves at the end. Transfer the strawberry jam into previously prepared jars. Close the jars and immediately turn them upside down. Leave in this position for about 15 minutes. When the jam has cooled, keep it in a cool place.
