A small but talented team represented Dunstan High School at the annual National Secondary School Championships held in Dunedin.

Jessica Ballantyne competed well in the Junior Girls Hammer Throw, finishing ninth out of a field of 22 throwers.

Jake Denniston threw a personal best of 43.90m in the Junior Boys Javelin to gain the Bronze medal.

Sam Nicholls claimed a well deserved Bronze medal in the Senior Girls 100m. 

The Senior Girls Relay team of Bri Scarfe, Tegan Chapman, Sam Nicholls and Suzie Morrow were again in the medals with an outstanding third placing. This is the third successive year that DHS has featured in the medals for this event.

Celia Ward, a former DHS student, now competing for Garin College in Nelson, was 3rd in the Senior Girls 200m.
