A library box filled with sport equipment has popped up in Centennial Park!

These boxes, called ‘Trybraries’ operate like a library; instead of books, you can borrow equipment while you’re at the park, then return it to the box for others to enjoy. Otago Museum and Sport Otago are installing trybraries in Balclutha, Dunedin, Milton, and Palmerston to increase access to equipment for active recreation.

All you need to do is head down to Centennial Park, post a video of you using the Trybrary equipment, tag Otago Museum and #tryjulychallenge. Winners will win passes for awesome experiences like horse riding, climbing, swimming, paddle boarding, and ice skating with their friends and whānau.
