Help EOHS to make a difference in our community
East Otago High School is pleased to continue its involvement with the Palmerston Meals on Wheels service this year.
Each Monday during term time, two senior students, accompanied by an adult driver, collect the hot meals and desserts from Waihemo Lodge then deliver the food to clients around Palmerston.
The school invites parents/caregivers to be part of the roster to supervise and drive students undertaking the Meals on Wheels deliveries. The school would like to involve parents/caregivers in the roster, to extend our driver pool beyond the staff already committed to this community service. Parents/Caregivers will need:
a full driver’s licence
to be willing to drive a school van
to be available between 11:15am until approximately 12:30pm on Mondays
to be available once or twice per term (this will depend on the number of adults on the roster)
to complete the school’s parent/caregiver helper requirements
If you are able to help, or would like further information, please contact Miss Whyman (g.whyman@eohs.school.nz), or the school office.
