What an amazing effort by students and staff of East Otago High School presenting "Beauty and the Beast Jr"

The show "Beauty And The Beast Jr" was an amazing experience. It was an event that I was proud to be part of and be able to bring to our community. Playing a lead role was so much fun to be able to immerse myself in a story I loved as a child and it was even more encouraging to know that a company full of friends and students were beside me the whole way, encouraging each other every step of the way. The most amazing part of being in the show was to know that the community was there to support us and they loved every minute of what was prepared for them.

The support of Mr Cummings as Music Director and Mr Ford as Director was incredible and the amount of effort they gave into our performance was and is commendable. Also from the point of view of a company member I am extremely thankful to fellow student Lauren Keen (choreographer) who gave herself emotionally and physically into the show and the whole crew loved to have a student beside us to guide us the whole way. I am beyond thankful to the time and work that Mrs Dyanne Ford and the rest of her team poured into putting the show together. I will miss the teamwork and feeling of whanau that the group created and am excited for East Otago High School to continue musical theatre in the future.
