Sports results 19th-30th June

It's great to see sports teams back out on the field/turf, see below for the latest sports results.

The two Year 7/8 6 aside teams played their first games in freezing cold conditions on 19th June, the Competitive team had a loss to JMC A team, player of the day was Ranui Te Maiharoa.  The Development team also had a loss to JMC 4, player of the day was Bella Alter.  Thanks to Shelley Rowland who drove the van.

The Senior Hockey team played JMC Gold on 23rd June, a good 7-1 win to the team, well done to Mitchell McLeod who was player of the day.

The Girls Rugby team had their first games on 24th June, they looked great in their new uniforms, sponsored by Otago Transport and Wayne and Chelle Hagan.  Game 1 was against Taieri Blue and was a narrow loss 22-24, Game 2 was against Queens and the girls managed a huge win 24-0, player of the day went to Jordyne Harris for her outstanding play.  Thanks to Linda Duncan for driving the van.

Friday 26th June saw more cold/windy conditions for the second week of Year 7/8 hockey.  The Competitive team played South Otago Blue, after a great first half they had a loss to South Otago, player of the day went to Tomas Tisdall.  The Development team played Columba Green, they had a loss and Flynn Mackenzie was player of the day.  Coach Kate O'Connell said both teams had made a big improvement since week 1.  Thanks to Sam Hore for driving the van.

Tuesday 30th June saw the Senior Hockey team play Kings Juniors, another cold/wet night at the turf and EOHS came away with a 3-2 win, well done to player of the day, Katelyn Toomey.
